How to wear sequins & look chic

I do love sparkle any now & then, but I know that wearing sequins may be a little bit tricky for some.

The secret is to balance the look and understand the difference between day and evening wear.

Evening wears give you space to play more and even to go for a full sequined dress (depends on the occasion). So even if you’ll be covered in sequins, you should balance the look with a more simple makeup and shoes. You already have a focus point on you, there’s no need for another one. Nevertheless, I would recommend you to wear your sequins in one place. When you make your choice, be aware of the fact that sequins reflect light, so they will draw attention to that part of your body.

When it comes to daily outfits, this is where the “problems” appear. When is it too much? In my opinion, you could choose a sweater with a decent amount of sequins, or items with sequined details (collars, cuffs). Also, you can try matte sequins, as a more subtle way to shine.
