I was never an avid gamer, but as most of the kids in my generation (born in the 80s) I received a game console and I had some fun with it for a while. Now, I was always a fashion lover, so when I see a cute mix of the fashion and gaming industry, I have to share. Most of us know about VANS, the American manufacturer who produces the now famous VANS sneakers, a direct competitor of Converse.
VANS has a new capsule collection made in collaboration with Nintendo, dedicated mostly to the passionate and nostalgic gamers of my generation. I’m neither passionate nor nostalgic, but I kind of fell in love with these colorful and super cute ones. Plus I know some guys who will probably love to change the grownup shoes for some funny ones.
For this collection Vans used graphical characters inspired by Super Mario Bros. , Duck Hunt, Donkey Kong , Legend of Zelda and the image of the first Nintendo game console. If they remind you of your childhood, than maybe you want to add some fun in your style with these or just make a passionate gamer happy with an original gift. The kids might want some too, so I heard there are also a few options for the little ones.
I wonder who came up with the idea of this collection and how well it will sale?
The collection is available worldwide, online and in Vans stores across the world. In Romania you will find them in all Vans stores – Baneasa Shopping City, Afi Palace Cotroceni, Mega Mall, Sun Plaza.
