Because I’m super busy these days that I practically shouldn’t be sleeping the next few days, I’ll try to be short today and let the photos speak for themselves. Today’s style story is about how great can be to mix something old, something new, something borrowed and of course something blue. 🙂
[RO] Pentru ca sunt super ocupata zilele astea de practic ar trebui sa nu mai dorm, voi incerca sa nu ma lungesc azi cu “vorba” si sa las pozele sa vorbeasca in locul meu. Ideea din spatele acestui look a fost sa va arat cat de fain poate fi sa te joci cu piese noi si vechi, cu haine imprumutate si special pentru acest articol, cu ceva albastru.
A few weeks ago I discovered in the back of my closet this short denim skirt that I think I own since high school. Beside the fact that I’m proud that it still fits, I decided that is no better time than right now to wear it again. Soon I will probably have to give it to my daughter. 🙂
Because I’m a grown up woman that really didn’t want to look like a teenage girl (I’m not even sure that it came out as it should), I wanted to give the whole look a more mature and fancy vibe. So, I added a masculine shirt, and by masculine I mean my husband’s now former shirt 🙂 and these leather biker boots that I love deeply and wear most of the time, bought on sales from Stradivarius a few years ago.
[RO] Cu cateva saptamani in urma am descoperit aceasta fusta scurta din denim, pe care cred ca o am de prin liceu. Tin sa mentionez ca asta inseamna de mai mult de 15 ani, in special pentru acelea dintre voi care ar putea crede ca am terminat liceul de curand. 🙂 Pe langa faptul ca m-am simtit mandra ca am putut sa o inchid, m-am gandit eu ca nu mi-ar strica sa o port din nou si sa incerc un look nou si interesant, dar care sa nu ma faca sa arat ca o adolescenta. Asa ca am ales sa o combin cu o camasa masculina de om matur, si prin masculina ma refer fix la camasa sotului meu, care de la imprumutata a ajuns a mea personala (o imprumutam prea des si nu mai apuca sa o poarte 🙂 ). Am adaugat ghetele mele biker preferete, care apropo, sunt din piele naturala si le-am achizitionat la reduceri acum cativa ani de la Stradivarius. #decisepoate
To complete the look I added the “Love Blossoms in Winter” leather necklace from my new Blossom Collection and a cute detail on the shirt’s collar. If you’re wondering what it is, there are actually 2 simple stone earrings, used like small brooches. I’m sure you have some you’re not crazy about anymore, so you can use them as embellishments for classic shirts.
This whole look is about mixing clothes from different decades and styles, combining masculine and feminine pieces, adding surprising details and statement accessories, in a fashion game that is meant to be fun and define a style that is definitely yours.
Today’s style story is not even the best fashion story, but is about not caring too much and just enjoying playing with your style. Fashion has had many rules over the years, but the most interesting looks were achieved when rules were broken or just redefined.
So, brake the rules…
[RO] Pentru un look complet cum imi place mie, am adaugat colierul din piele “Love Blossoms in Winter” din noua colectie Blossom si un mic detaliu chic pe gulerul camasii. Daca va intrebati ce este, ei bine sunt 2 cercei simpli cu piatra pe care i-am folosit ca niste mici brose. Sunt convinsa ca si voi aveti cativa rataciti prin cutia de bijuterii pe care ii puteti folosi sa accesorizati delicat camasile clasice.
Toata povestea asta este despre cum sa combini haine din decade diferite, stiluri diferite, masculin si feminin, detalii surprinzatoare si accesorii statement, totul intr-un soi de joaca de-a moda al carui rol este sa defineasca un stil propriu. Look-ul asta de azi nu e nici macar cel mai bun, dar demostreaza ca moda e distractiva si ca e ok sa te joci si tu. Industria modei a impus de-a lungul anilor multe reguli de stil, dar cele mai interesante look-uri au fost cele ce au incalcat regulile si le-au redefinit.
Deci, incalcati regulile…:)
